Catch Revel's World of Shakespeare, the stirring one-man play about the protagonist's rough introduction to the bard at a London boys' school, at Qinglan Theatre over near Dongsishitiao this week.
Tonight is the first night of the run and it wraps up on Sunday (Jul 20). Tickets are still available here for all nights at RMB 180 and RMB 260.
Written and performed by American Joseph Graves, the comedy drama tells the tale of Clive T. Revel, a drunken teacher, who attempts to impress his love of Shakespeare on his young charges. What ensues is an alternately stormy and hilarious relationship that spans forty years.
The show has garnered strong reviews around town since it's Beijing premiere back in 2005 and seems well worth a night away from the pub, if not only to revel in someone else's drunken antics.
