Elvis Presley died in 1977, only ever playing a handful gigs outside of the USA. Now, on the other side of the planet and many years later, “Elvis” is coming to Shanghai for an actual Elvis Festival. That is, for the first time ever, an Elvis Impersonator will be performing in mainland China. Elvis Tribute artist Tim ‘E’ Hendry will perform along the Shanghai All-Star band featuring members of some of the city’s best bands at the end of May.
