Time’s running out in balloting for the Beijinger’s 2015 Reader Bar and Club Awards: get in there and choose your favorites before Sunday, May 17.

With a few thousand votes already cast, here’s what we know about you so far:

— 55% of you are male

— You are about 30 years old

— You go out to bars about 11 times each month

— 65% of you are bar-hoppers, going to more than one bar in a single evening

— You typically have four drinks on a night out

— Cocktails are your beverage of choice, while domestic beer is your least favorite

— You blow about RMB 170 at each bar you visit

— The vast majority of you are heterosexual, with 6% claiming to be homosexual and 5% claiming to be bisexual

Although posters and coasters you run across around town may indicate that voting closes May 10, we’re keeping the ballots open a week extra because we got a late start due to technical snafus.

Over 100 bars in Beijing received nominations in our annual comprehensive survey of the Beijing drinking scene. Nominees were selected by a panel of over 100 Beijing residents from all walks of life; between seven and 10 nominees were selected for each category.

Mas, Migas, Great Leap Brewing, Dada, Janes & Hooch and The Local lead the pack in terms of total nominations.

New categories this year include Best Cover Band and Best LGBT Friendly bar.

And in a nod to the rising tide of locally-made brews, we have two craft beer categories this year: both Best Craft Brewery as well as a special award for the Best individual brew.

We’re also asking you to vote on the Most Creative Bar Concept in Beijing, which includes baijiu bar Capital Spirits, fixie biker bar Trouble Bar, art gallery/bar Aotu Studio, and the drink-and-shoot Jian Archery Club.
