Brawl on the Wall is back in Beijing this Saturday (Sep 5) at the Park Hyatt and we have two tickets to give away for at a table worth RMB 9,000 to one of our most loyal readers.
The event, which first took place in Shanghai as Brawl on the Bund in the summer of 2008, gives ‘white collar’ workers the opportunity to participate in boxing matches in the midst of 500 (usually drunken) people watching and cheering them on. Benefits from ticket sales and entrance fees go towards charity, helping participants get fit as well as providing entertainment in the name of a good cause.
This year, proceeds will go towards The Foundation for Newborns with Respiratory Failure, which helps raise funds in the memory of Leo Spirit and supports parents unable to afford treatment for babies born with respiratory failure.
The question for our readers, to be answered before noon on Wednesday (Sep 2), is:
Shanghai was the first place in China where this event was held, but where does White Collar Boxing originate from?
Email your answer with your full name and phone number to [email protected] before the deadline, and you could be attending this black tie event on Saturday. Find more information about Brawl on the Wall via their website.
