A fire or overheating Airport Expressway train has caused a disruption in service, and is creating delays both on the Airport Express line and rubbernecking delays on the Airport Expressway.
The car was observed at 4.50pm just beyond the Fifth Ring Road, emitting smoke or steam. Passengers could be observed inside the train, which had some of its doors opened, making overheating a more likely cause of the stoppage.
There was no immediate report of injuries, or the extent of delays or disruption to Airport Express service.
Travelers going to the airport and returning to the city should expect delays and consider alternate bus or taxi service.
