In Sanya City, located in South China’s Hainan province, a large number of dead fish have been seen floating around Sanya River. Locals have complained about the foul stench caused by the growing number of dead fish accumulating in the river. The mass fish deaths have attracted hungry egrets which have come scavenging for food.
