Taiwan casts its vote today in a crucial local election that observers say could put much at stake in its relations with China, the BBC reported. The Kuomintang party, which is currently in power, could see its majority control of Taiwan’s six biggest municipalities wane amidst increasing support for the opposing Democratic Progressive Party (DPP)
