Another week is nearly over and now it’s time to turn our thoughts to the weekend, and more specifically what we’re going to eat over the next few days. Treat yourself, get out and see what culinary treats Beijing has waiting for you. Here are few dining events happening over the weekend that have got our stomachs rumbling.

Slowboat burgers and beer

Slowboat Brewery Taproom has an offer on pitchers this Saturday. If you buy one of their delicious burgers, they’ll give you a weighty jug of beer for only RMB70. Bring your mates, eat heatedly and have a Slowboat beverage or two (or perhaps possibly three). Sounds like a perfect Saturday in the making.

Niajo brunch

It’s off to Spanish restaurant Niajo in Sanlitun for brunch on either Saturday or Sunday. Take advantage of their great brunch special. For RMB186 you get a three-course menu, appetisers and one drink. If you add RMB150 you get free-flow wine and beer to help wash it all down!

Greyhound deal

Also in Sanlitun is Thai restaurant, Greyhound Cafe. At the moment they have a very tempting deal that gets you an appetizer platter, a soup, a main course, a dessert platter and a soft drink all for RMB158 per person (minimum two people).

Dim sum deal

This is certainly the season for excess and Fat Duck at the Renaissance Beijing Capital Hotel are proving that with an excellent all-you-can-eat dim sum deal. Every Saturday and Sunday between 9-11:30am, for only RMB98, you can tuck into over 40 delicious yum cha dishes. Children between 6-12 years old enjoy half price, and it’s free for kids under 6 years old. Prices subject to the usual 15% surcharge.

Cigars and whiskey galore
