On Saturday Aug 16ust, at Zajia Lab, check out the Beijing launch of Subconscious Restaurant. For those of you interested in the outer limits of art, literature, and sound exploration, these Taiwan based (though from New Zealand) brothers have been creating DIY magazines for a while now. Read this great interview with Ron Hanson, the editor and chief of this home spawned rag written by Josh Feola of SmartBeijing.
Check it out if you’re fan of independent publications, weird sounds and interesting vibes. At the launch there will be sound performances by Wang Fujui (Taipei), Noise Steve (Taichung), Yan Jun (Beijing), and Rat Spy 51 (Beijing), and finally a dance performance from Zarah Kileen- Chance (Auckland). 8pm start, RMB 50 entrance which also includes a free, I repeat free issue of The Subconscious Restaurant magazine. Put it next to your toilet for a nice private read.
