A woman in Wuhan, Hubei province showed up at the city’s Caicheng Square on Thursday, just a few days ahead of Chinese Valentine’s Day, carrying a bouquet of flowers as part of an elaborately planned proposal to her boyfriend. The boyfriend, however, was nowhere to be seen, as he’d sent his friend to “pass on” his acceptance of the marriage proposal.
