Big news for the city’s craft beer lovers: We’re to be treated to another craft beer festival later this year. The inaugural Autumn Craft Beer Festival is currently in advanced planning stages with organizers hopeful the event can go ahead on October 11 and 12 at the impressive C&C Park space in Dongcheng District.
Initial plans are for the festival to run from 5pm-midnight on the Friday evening (Oct 10), and from noon-midnight on the Saturday (Oct 11) with organizers hoping to welcome up to 25 food and drink vendors from across the country.
In addition they hope to feature live music, DJs, and a homebrewing competition throughout the weekend.
In a recent release, Slow Boat claimed the purpose of the gathering is to:
- Showcase the growing array of fantastic craft beer being produced in China.
- Celebrate and support the talented brewers who are making their mark on China’s craft beer scene.
- Highlight autumn beers by continuing the age-old tradition of celebrating the harvest through the unique flavors and styles found in seasonal craft beers.
Thebeijinger.com will bring you updates on the festival as we receive them.
