After announcing that former Nanjing WWII “comfort stations” would be converted into conservation units and submitting Unit 731 ruins in Harbin to the UNESCO World Heritage List, Chinese authorities now carrying out plans to send an application to UNESCO to preserve the archives containing details on the Nanjing massacre and the sexual abuse of “comfort women” during WWII.
