Chinese sculptor, Guangzhou Sculpture Academy President, Xu Hongfei has taken his “Chubby Women” to London for an exhibition that the organizers say “is designed to promote cultural exchange between host countries and China.” The media and critics in London were questioning if this is plain middle-class art or an exhibition with a political message, as it was unveiled in London at the same time as the Tiananmen anniversary. The latter is probably not true, because here are some images of Chinese artist Xu Hongfei besides his exhibits in London, proving that, unlike Ai Weiwei, the sculptor still has his passport and the Government’s support to exibit abroad.
