Now you can get it on a bagel with the new ‘bagel and smoked meat sandwich,’ a collaboration by Brian Tock and Christine Asuncion of Spread the Bagel. And not just any bagel but a Montreal-style bagel, which, for all you non-bagel-buffs, is smaller and sweeter than its NY counterpart, and probably the only legit kind outside the Big Apple (this coming from a red-blooded New Yorker). It’s smaller and fluffier nature gives the bold savoriness of the deli meat more breathing room than its burlier NY cousin.
