The quarterly gathering of earnest young people known as Barcamp Beijing is upon us, with the next event scheduled for Saturday, July 23, from 2-5pm.
Organizers are looking for speakers to share their ideas and projects with an expected audience of over 100 people. The presentation can be on any topic – a great project/idea/demo/art the speaker wishes to share with the world. Presenters will have 10 minutes to pitch a thought, idea or issue using slides, audio, video or even just the simple strength of one's own voice. This will then be followed by a 10-minute, interactive discussion between the presenter and other participants to share and challenge different perspectives and ideas.
The event will be held at Chao Work Club in Yayuncun. Anyone with the "desire to inspire" is welcome – past participants range from technologists, scientists, doctors and chefs to artists, designers, musicians and social entrepreneurs – and the event is open to all. You can sign up for free here.
