A Beijing skateboarder has arrived in Zhengzhou, partway through a journey to Tibet on his skateboard. Twenty-four-year-old Zhang Renfeng plans to make it to Lhasa eventually, but after 12 days he reached Henan Province last week.

Zhengzhou newspaper, the Dahe Daily, states the skateboard enthusiast is a Beijing-based interior designer and is carrying a small backpack with him containing a tent, sleeping bag, cane, camera, water, and “medicine.” Zhang is keeping a diary of his journey, which he asks local post offices he encounters along the way to stamp.

Zhang reckons the trip will take up to four months to complete. That’s a lot of replacing those tiny wheels. He gave no explanation as to why he’s undertaking this epic odyssey.
