CCTV-4 in its new documentary ‘Blue Xinjiang Guard’ has revealed footage of a confrontation between a Chinese coast guard vessel and Vietnamese ships in the South China Sea from 2007. The intense surveillance footage shows Vietnamese vessels closing in on China’s Haijian 74, at which point the marine research ship rams into a Vietnamese vessel under orders.
