Apple Inc has told some of its contracted brands it needs to ramp up production outside of China, the Wall Street Journal reported, mentioning others familiar with the matter.

India and Vietnam, which are already Apple’s production sites, are among the countries shortlisted through the company as alternatives, the report adds.
