The Royal Number One nightclub in Henan province’s Zhengzhou city was considered one of China’s most luxurious “entertainment complexes” before it was raided by police and shut down in November. Details of the club’s hiring requirements for hostesses have recently surfaced and revealed that even the worst-performing hostess earned roughly 16,000 USD per month, and that the women were required to be well-educated with superior skill sets and “inner beauty”.
