Beijing got a taste of James Bond Tuesday night, as Spectre Bond girl Lea Seydoux and producer Barbara Broccoli chatted with fans in an appearance at the China Central Place Apple Store.
“It was a dream come true,” Seydoux said of playing Madeleine Swann, who Broccoli, the daughter of Bond film series auteur Albert Broccoli, described as “James Bond’s equal.”
The pair were peppered with questions by CCTV host and longtime Beijing resident Eyee Hsu.
As for reports that Spectre is actor Daniel Craig’s last film as James Bond, Broccoli, who cast Craig in the role, said, “I’m not going to let go of Daniel just yet. I want to hang on to him as long as I can.”
Director Sam Mendes was originally scheduled to appear at the event but was scratched early on Tuesday.
The event opened with a screening of an exclusive Apple trailer of Spectre, which opens Friday in China, a week after other major markets.
