French video artist Matthieu Tondeur, or Chromaphase, is well-known throughout Shanghai for his visual art live acts. He performs at local venues like Arkham, Yuyintang and Shelter using lighting effects, graphic design, 3D-mapping and film footage, usually in conjunction with Electronic live bands and DJs. Tondeur works out of a small space in Shanghai and he’s able hunt down performance materials in the city for dirt-cheap.
