Renowned China travel company WildChina are marking their 15th anniversary of offering unique, curated experiences to some of China’s most beautiful and far-flug areas with Beshan Gāi, a one-day bazaar celebrating artisans from all over China.

Beshan Gāi sprang out of a desire to give people in Beijing a glimpse into some of the artisans and producers that WildChina customers meet as they travel around with passionate local guides. The name comes from WildChina’s Chinese name, Beshan or 碧山, and the word for ‘market’ in founder Zhang Mei’s local Yunnanese dialect, Gāi or 街 (literally translated as ‘street’). Put together, it means WildChina Market.

Among the vendors taking part in the market are Shancufengwu wine from Fujian, selling traditional Hakka-style rice wine; Beijing’s Shard Box Store, whose beautiful pill boxes made from shards of broken pottery make the perfect gift; Black Dragon Homemade Jams, with seasonal fruit jams that capture the flavors of Dali, Yunnan; and Wayayacom, whose unique jewelery is inspired by the streets and waterways of coastal Zhejiang.

The market will run from 11am-6pm at The Opposite House’s newly opened Bei Space. Don’t miss your chance to shop these unique products and pick up a gift or treat yourself.
