A new two-track EP from Beijing based artist, Soulspeak, has just been released on Ran Music. The two songs represented here on “Ghost Echoes” are a mellowed out fusion of old-school breakbeats, fusions of funk jazz nostalgia, and engaging synthetic experimentations that are kind of reminiscent of the funkier sides of someone like Towa Tei.

“Ghost Echoes” will first be released on all major digital distribution platforms including iTunes, Spotify, Google Play, Beatport and Juno, as well as free streaming on soundcloud. You can also expect a vinyl version of “Ghost Echoes” to be released in the near future. Check it out here on Sondcloud.

Soulspeak started making beats and composing music back in 1999 and has since released numerous albums and performed around the world, showcasing his unique talents as a composer and DJ.

You can catch Soulspeak live when he headlines the first installment of the Ran Live showcase series on Sept 12 at DDC. This night will see him joining forces with Australian born trumpeter Ttechmak. They will be supported by J.R.G and the misfit poetics of MC Dawei.
