Talk about advance planning: Chi Fan For Charity announced its 2014 Beijing main event date as November 8, with Shanghai to follow on November 15 and Hong Kong November 22. The organization is also holding a special dinner at Qmex on Saturday, April 19, to benefit Americans Promoting Study Abroad (APSA).

The annual event’s fifth edition in 2013 included almost 60 restaurants and raised nearly RMB 500,000, which supported the two designated charity recipients, Little Flower Project and Educating Girls of Rural China. CFFC is looking for table hosts, event volutneers, and even more restaurants for the 2014 event. See their website for more information.

The April 19 event is in partnership with APSA, which supports US public high school students visiting China on summer educational trips. Participants may enjoy a four-course meal and after-party with drinks and entertainment for RMB 1,000 per person, or the after-party only for RMB 350. Tickets are available from the event website, or visit APSA’s website for more information.

Founded in 2009 by Beijing residents Michael and Joanna Crain, CFFC has raised over RMB 3 million for worthwhile charities.
