Business Sustainability Summer Series: Using Due Diligence to Increase Financial Transparency

Due diligence practices are essential in both the private and public sectors. With increasing demand from stakeholders regarding financial transparency in particular, companies are facing new challenges to effectively implement due diligence best practices to ensure fluidity in operations and to hedge against costly internal and external crises. Especially in China, companies are wise to continuously reflect upon and refine the application of due diligence best practices in their workplaces to the benefit of healthy and sustainable growth.

AmCham China’s Business Sustainability Committee is excited to bring together a dynamic collection of due diligence experts to share examples and best practices on how due diligence can be used to solve financial transparency problems.

For this event, President of the China Trade Institute Thomas A. Myers, Control Risks Senior Consultant Yifei Zhang, Steptoe & Johnson China Compliance Counsel Bo Yue, and Mintz Group Senior Investigator Juliana Ma will present applied, contemporary examples of due diligence as a solution to financial transparency problems stemming from private-public partnerships, compliance, IPR, anti-corruption and reputation due diligence. Their insights and conclusions aim at providing both the foundation and framework for achieving business sustainability in China and abroad.
