Beijing-based photographer Sim Chi Yin has captured portraits of more than 30 former gold miners suffering from silicosis, an occupational lung disease. Last month, she released a photo series documenting the plight of a late-stage silicosis patient in Shaanxi, and recently helped his family launch a fundraising campaign in cooperation with Chinese news portal Tencent.
