A monk from the Xingjue Temple in Shanghai’s Jinshan district recently asked to pay for 16 water heaters with stacks upon stacks of coins at a local mall, according to NetEase News. The coins, worth 223,840 yuan, weighed around 716 kilograms—equal to the weight of three adult oxen.
