The continuing mystery over the fate of Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 not only continues to puzzle the world, but for one Beijing expat it has become a prolonged personal nightmare. Sarah Bajc, an American teacher in Beijing, is trying to track down her boyfriend Philip Wood, an IBM executive and the only American adult who was a passenger on the flight.

The Wall Street Times reports that Ms. Bajc had recently been preparing to move to Malaysia to join her partner. Speaking to the BBC, she expressed her hope that there will be a happy outcome, “I just have to believe that he’s still alive.” In an effort to find him, she has created a Facebook page and Twitter account (VPN needed.)
