Needing a new look for ourselves to beat the winter hair blues, we walked into Laurent Falcon’s salon with high expectations of its namesake owner and army of staff. Our approach to hair has always been charitably described as “haphazard,” so it was liberating to put ourselves into the hands and scissors of an expert.

Our hair transformed from shoulder-length blah to a chic asymmetric bob in a matter of minutes (haircuts from RMB118-980). Simultaneously, our multi-tasking salon owner was painting on highlights in a subtle auburn (RMB480). We were escorted to the soothing, aquarium-themed rinse room and treated to a brief scalp massage as the colorist’s assistant patiently washed the excess dye out of our hair. After a blow-dry and final trim, we were sent on our merry way, looking much better than we did on our way in.
