A bomb has been reported at Longde Plaza in Tiantongyuan, Beijing. According to Xinhua, a member of staff at the mall told reporters that the bomb threat was received at 10:30am Thursday morning. The police then proceeded to evacuated the mall and the surrounding area. 

 

UPDATE

According to Beijing police, management at Longde Plaza’s Carrefour supermarket received an email on Thursday morning threatening to detonate a bomb planted in the mall if they did not hand over RMB50,000. The police evacuated the mall but no explosives were found. The mall is now open again and operating normally.
