Creating Film and TV Content for Audiences in Both China and the US

AmCham China's Media & Entertainment Forum kicks off this year’s activities with a panel discussion on Film and TV content. Forum Chair Mathew Alderson of Harris Moure Attorneys will lead the panel, joined by Daniel Manwaring, Joe Wong and Florian Fettweis, to walk you through the issues faced by creatives and producers when developing content suitable for audiences in both China and the US.

Daniel Manwaring is a Corporate Development Executive at Creative Artists Agency (CAA). Daniel works in the Beijing office focusing on cross-border business opportunities for the agency’s clients in the international marketplace.

Joe Wong, host of CCTV 2 talk show/investigative report “Is It True?,” has over 10 years’ experience in performing on talk shows in both US and China market. He was the first Asian to perform at the Radio and TV correspondents’ dinner and won first place at the standup comedy competition at the Great American Comedy Festival.

Florian Fettweis is a Fulbright Scholar and China media expert with work experience in the US, Germany and China in TV & film production, distribution and media consulting. As Consulting Director for Beijing-based media consultancy CMM-I, he heads a small team to initiate, facilitate and execute cooperation between Chinese and Western media companies, with an emphasis on building global media brands into the fabric of the Chinese market.
