“I know how old you are. Gorgeous, that’s how old you are.” 

Yes, this really was a pick-up line used on me at a bar recently. It definitely needs to be added to our previous article “10 Pickup Lines NEVER To Use in China”. I know all the ladies have heard everything from “is your father a thief? Because he stole the stars and put them in your eyes” to “is that a mirror in your pocket? Because I see myself in your pants” and every other terrible pick-up line. While these are indeed cheesy, I don’t think there is any pick-up line cheesier than one that doesn’t make any sense. Especially when it comes from a dude all up in my face and delivering lines even after he’s informed that I’m not single.

Come on, do grown men really think that putting their face two inches from a woman’s face while not letting her get word out and persisting when she’s obviously not interested is going to get them a date? Did it work once so they think there’s a chance it will work again?

So dudes, I have some questions for you: what pick-up lines have you used and WHY did you think it would actually work?
