If you do just one foodie thing this week, make it the Carnivore’s Club dinner at Feast on Saturday night. Chef Rob Cunningham has teamed up with Dutch-Chinese chef Sue Zhou to cook up a Yunnan-fusion menu featuring all parts of the chicken (and a pretty inspired tea-infused dessert as well). At four courses for RMB 238 it’s a steal too.
Also on January 24, three Michelin-starred chef Umberto Bombana is in town cooking a black truffle tasting menu at Opera Bombana for one night only. The five course menu finishes with an intriguing black truffle ice cream – the jury’s out on that one.
Here’s something to add to your regular weekly go around of events: Juice by Melissa have just launched a weekly girls night. Every Thursday from 6-9pm ladies get buy-one-get-one free organic cold-press cocktails and organic wine, accompanied by the brand’s organic and gluten-free tasting menu. Sounds like a good way to get your drink on without too many adverse effects.
In a decidedly less wholesome, but very delicious, fashion, Plan B is holding another one of their deservedly popular rib nights on Sunday (Jan 25). The ribs will cost you RMB 60 and are available from 1-9pm, but they’re asking people to give them a call and pre-book to guarantee a table.
More events and promotions this week:
- Wednesday night is Chili Night at 京A. A big serving with freshly made tortilla chips is just RMB 30 – get it before it’s gone!
- Join EatwithChef at Tribe Restaurant on Thursday for a completely vegan dining experience. The RMB 265 menu includes pumpkin and quinoa tabbouleh and vegan chocolate and peanut mousse pie.
- Discover unlimited dim sum classics at the Conrad’s Lu Yu restaurant each weekday for just RMB 99 per person.
